Vinnie Bui is a Los Angeles-based mixed media artist, known for three-dimensional assemblages from upcycling discarded materials.

Despite his introverted personality, Vinnie’s art pieces project boldness, uniqueness, and edginess that blends industrial and organic vibes with dynamic hexagonal shapes. His art morphs under different lighting or view angles to the viewers. He encourages viewers to form their own interpretations versus providing backstories to spark authentic conversations.

He credits his dedication to using upcycled materials from his upbringing under Buddhist monks, which helps him navigate l ife today.

With a foundational A.A. & B.A. in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing from the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York, his career shifted from corporate fashion to high-end floral design for over 15 years before transitioning to the art world.
